Mankad Family Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt, 501 (c) (3) private foundation, registered as a corporation in the State of North Carolina. As a result, the foundation is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devices, transfers, or gifts under Internal Revenue Code, Sections 2055, 2106 or 2522. Certification from IRS documenting its tax exempt status is available upon request.

 

Except for expenses for accounting and tax returns, the foundation has no other overhead expenses. Therefore, greater than 99% of its assets and yield are available for donations to other, pre-selected, tax-exempt charities. The foundation does not solicit or accept applications and makes grants to support charitable activities promoting

 

  • Improved health of individuals in impoverished communities to enhance their quality of life

  • Education of individuals in basic as well as occupational skills so that they may become more productive

  • Improved nutrition to build healthier lives

  • Provide clean, safe drinking water to prevent water-borne diseases

  • Find lasting solutions to poverty, hunger and poor health.
